Great Tips to Organize Your Office Space: Tip 4

 Lever Arch Files
Lever Arch Files are a great way of organising and filing away paperwork such as invoices, worksheets, receipts, reports and statements.
They are available in a variety of colours, so you can have a colour coded system in your office.
When choosing the right Lever Arch File, there are a few options and features to consider like:
  1. §        What material? Polypropylene, Paper on board or laminated Board finish.
  2. §        Extra features? Metal shoes, this means the bottom of the files have a metal edge. This helps reinforce the file and protect from wear & tear, front cover locking device to hold file shut and also helps give it extra stability and stay upright even when the file is full.
  3. §         Size & Capacity? A4 is the most popular size, Foolscap is slightly larger so it ensures the A4 paper is more protected (you need to make sure that foolscap will fit your shelving unit) Spine sizes and capacity? Standard - 75-80mm Mini - 50-52mm Jumbo - 85mm

Great Tips to Organize Your Office Space: Tip 3

Clear off your desk – Remove everything, clean your desk thoroughly and put back only those items that are essential for daily use.     Use desktop organisers  or containers to organise the items on your desk. Use trays for papers, containers for smaller items.    Put items used together in the same drawer space, stamps with envelopes, sticky pads with notepads, etc. Use organisers for little items – paper clips, tacks, etc. Use a separate drawer for personal items.
Desk Tidy
Sort out that clutter, gather all those lose items together on the desk, place pens, clips, pins and that half box of staples and put them into a desk tidy, this is the perfect solution to keeping a desk clutter free, available in a wide range of colours, so you can colour co-ordinate with that matching waste bin and those letter trays.

Great Tips to Organize Your Office Space: Tip 1

  1. Purge your office – De-clutter, empty, shred, get rid of everything that you don’t need or want. Look around. What haven’t you used in a while? Take one area at a time. If it doesn’t work, send it out to be fixed or bin it!!! If you haven’t used it in months and can’t think of when you’ll actually need it next, bin it!!! This goes for furniture, equipment, supplies, etc.

Shredders

With identity theft on the rise, the office shredders are essential to prevent and protect financial information, Do you really know what happens personal information once its disposed of? There is always a risk of someone finding personal information they can use to cause you harm, that’s why shredding safeguards against this happening. Cross-cut shredders provide more security than strip-cut, depending on your level of concern. We recommend the Q-Connect Q10CC Cross-Cut Shredder, which has a security level 3 and a bin capacity of 20 litres.
