The Post-it note

The Post-It note was invented by accident when 3M employee Spencer Silver was attempting to create a super strong adhesive. Instead, he produced a super-weak adhesive which could be peeled off without leaving any residue, eventually leading to the Post-It in 1977 - 9 years later.
